The Risen Lord Proclaims Peace

The turbulent Passion Week is ironically framed with a theme of peace. Jesus enters Jerusalem as the Prince of Peace, promises His disciples His legacy of peace and His first word to His disciples after His resurrection is "peace." Christ's post-resurrection proclamation of shalom (peace) refers to His offering of Himself as the eternal sacrifice to secure our peace with God.
