All Victory In Christ

The apostle now looks more closely at that new life described in v12.

1. More of new life in Christ v13a.
   Spiritual deadness in sins, the unregenerate state, is ‘the uncircumcision of the flesh' - Quickening in Christ the fruit of eternal election, God's sovereign initiative in salvation.

2. A new status v13b,14.
   The new birth results in faith, not the other way round - we should never loose the marvel of the forgiveness of sins - Christ has answered ‘the handwriting of ordinances' that was against his people.

3. Our triumphant Saviour v15.
   Christ's redeeming work exposes all the false claims of the devil and the fallen angels - encouragement for the Colossians to see all their need in Christ.
