Consequences

The primary consequence of the fall is rebellion against God and a refusal to acknowledge the guilt of this rebellion. This passage shows how God deals with this rebellion both in judgment and in grace and the way he dealt with this so many years ago directly affects us today.

He addresses the serpent, the woman, and the man - although God addresses them individuals I do not think they are limited only to those individuals but rather these specific judgement are indicative of the different aspects of the judgment against mankind that is the result of the fall.
