One of the ways in which we can see the love of God is in His command to get rid of anger. anger is massively destructive, and it gains control over an angry person to his detriment. Isn't it love to remove us from that? Yet that is not where it ends, God also instructs believers to positively pursue gracious concern for others. You may think your are doing well if you don't attack a person who offends you. Yet God desires something more striking.As hard as it is to resist the urge to respond in anger, it is harder to respond in kindness and compassion. God pours out kindness and goodness even on His enemies. He withholds judgement. This is a beautiful picture from which believers can learn.
