God Meant It Unto Good

1. GOD'S GREATER PURPOSE FOR JOSEPH'S LIFE

i) Greatness - we may never have the same greatness that Joseph attained but God has great purpose for His people's lives.

ii) Usefulness - (to his family & fellow-man)-

God doesn`t mean us to wander aimlessly through life - He has a purpose to make us useful FOR Him, and TO others.

2. GOD'S PLAN FOR JOSEPH'S LIFE

God works through plans- think of the great plan of Creation & Redemption

i) Terrible Experiences Joseph Endured

Sold by brothers,slandered by Potiphar`s wife, put in prison.

You may not understand your trials but the Lord may be shaping you for something big for Him.

ii) The Eminence Into Which Joseph Came

2nd in command in Egypt- God was working Providentially.

Joseph was submissive through it all,and kept himself pure & God exalted him

3. GOD'S PRESENCE IN JOSEPH'S LIFE

Gen 39:2 & 21 "...the Lord was with Joseph"

Gen 39:3 & 23 show that others SAW the Lord was with him.

Christian - take this truth to work, school, or wherever - that the Lord is with you through darkest trials

4. GOD'S POWER IN JOSEPH'S LIFE

Great changes & difficult times saw Joseph's dreams fulfilled through God's Power.

Has God given you a "dream" of a work for Him? Maybe He is shaping you, taking away some dross, getting you ready to show His Power through you !
