Full Assurance of Faith

We must pause to consider the wonders and greatness of the salvation which has been so freely given to us in Jesus. Not only are we in Christ commanded to draw near, we are told do so with full assurance, but not an assurance based upon our own goodness and merit, but with confidence, because of the blood of Jesus. We draw near, once only a priestly privalege under the Old Covenant, but now as a royal priesthood, in Christ Jesus, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession (I Peter 2:9).
