King Josiah was the last good king of Judah. He was only eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned 31 years (2Chron. 34:1-2). He began his reign approximately 639 BC.
In the eighth year of his reign, “while he was yet young” (2Chron. 34:3), being about 16 years old, King Josiah “began to seek after the God of David his father.”

  1. KING JOSIAH'S REPENTANCE
    2Chron. 34:18-21;
    Joel 2:13 says, “And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God.”
  2. GOD'S RESPONSE
    2Chronicles 34:26-28;
    Proverbs 4:26-27,'Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.'
  3. THE KING'S COVENANT
    2Chronicles 34:29-33;
    James 4:6-7, 'But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.'
    Joshua 22:5
    Mark 12:30,'And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.'
