Comfort in Faith

146 ( 50 | 96 )

Paul, Silas, and Timothy turn to the next aspect of living a life of thankfulness to God for calling the Thessalonians out of the world. Those who have not trusted in Christ for their whole and sole wellbeing do not have true hope. For them hope is a mere wish that things would turn out well in the end. Hope is very different for those who are believing in Jesus Christ. They have already begun to see the reality of the world to come. Their hope is not a subjective desire in themselves, rather it is the reality of what God will do. This sermon calls us to comfort one another with the truth that Jesus is coming again to give us everlasting life with Him.
