A Biblical Response to IDM

That such Intelligent Design is necessary is patently obvious in light of the intricacies of the universe. But is the IDM sufficient in proclaiming the Biblical truth of creation? Dr. Whitcomb explains why understanding that there is a Designer is nothing more than the beginning point which can lead a person to the Gospel. It can never be the complete message.
Dr. Whitcomb speaks briefly of both the pros and cons of the IDM and explains how he is responding to it through his current series of “Monthly Monographs” and a planned upcoming book.
He says that the main problem with IDM is that it uses “finite human logic and brilliance” to attempt to do the work which “only the living Word of God” can do.
“Intelligent Design gets people's attention, but only the gospel of the finished work of Christ – confirmed by His resurrection from the dead – completes the message and gives a basis, a foundation, upon which we can come to the living God forever,” Dr. Whitcomb states. “Are you a recipient of the gift of God – eternal life?”
