Child Rescue

God insists that parents rescue their children from self-destruction. Parents are not permitted by God to assault their children. There is a distinction between parents who develop a pattern of inflicting physical abuse on their children in order to get them to be more pleasant to live with, and parents who see the dangers of their children's foolish way of life and place barriers in front of them that are very unpleasant to cross. When Scripture speaks of child discipline, it is spoken of in the sense of child rescue.
In this message, I gave the charge of child rescue to a young couple who had recently been blessed with their second child. The message is earnest. May God grant it to them and to you, listening to this message, the grace to see the beauty of child rescue and implement it in their lives.
