Gospel fruit

The gospel is a potent system of living truth, and - where it is heard and known as the grace of God in truth - it brings forth fruit.

Here we address the questions, where and when does it bring forth this fruit?

In answering the first, we see that it brings forth fruit both by its inward working and its outward advance, running in parallel.

In answering the second, we observe that the gospel brings forth fruit immediately (though this does not demand a dramatic conversion, nor does it imply instant maturity) and continually.

From these truths, we draw lessons of instruction, encouragement, and exhortation.
