Determining Your Gift

This sermon begins by considering a few more of the 'permanent' spiritual gifts that are given to the church today. The gifts of exhortation, giving, showing mercy and faith are explained and considered how they are exercised.

The remainder of the study centers on how each believer discerns their spiritual gift and puts it to use in the body. Putting the following suggestions into practice will prove helpful to those who want to determine their giftedness:

1. Recognize that every believer has been given a gift by the Holy Spirit.
2. Become aware of opportunities to get involved in serving in the body.
3. Consider what your interests or desires are.
4. Become involved - gifteness is a way of serving.
5. Consider what areas are fulfilling and satisfying, i.e. give you enjoyment and satisfaction.
6. Seek the input of other mature believers.
