The Father's Beloved Son

In this sermon, I begin by emphasizing the importance of the Old Testament. There is continuity from the Old Testament into the New Testament and both Testaments are inspired by the same God. Then, I show the second proof from the Old Testament that the Son of God is superior to the angels - 2 Samuel 7:14. I show how some of the prophecies could apply fully and properly only to Christ, and not to Solomon. I show that Christ was David's Son after the flesh, yet God's true Son. It is to this Son that the Father has lavished His love and given His seal of approval out of the pleasure of His own will.
