Blessing and Benediction

Psalm 41 is the concluding Psalm of the Psalter's first book. In speaking of the blessedness of considering the poor, it teaches us compassion; in identifying its author as one of the poor, it teaches us our need for mercy; and in its connection to Christ, it teaches us not be scandalized by his sufferings and humiliation.
