All for a bowl of beans

While we struggle to fully understand this; Esau as the eldest was entitled to all the promises that God had extended to Abraham (Grandfather), and then to Isaac (Father).
Had Esau been a man of faith, and lived a life of righteousness before God…we would read the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Esau…but never do we.
Rather, we find that Esau despised his birthright, and he sold it all; for a meager bowl of beans.
