Self Interest versus the Truth

The reason people rejoice in wrongdoing and do not rejoice in the truth is because self interest holds center stage in their life. We are not to rejoice in the iniquity that brings about the demise of even an enemy. Those who truly rejoice in the truth will pursue the truth even when it contradicts their held position or hurts their standing in this world. Exalting the truth is to be the believer's single focus and it is the Scriptures that reveal how the truth is advanced and exalted.
