The Thorny-Ground Hearer

Are you a thorny-ground hearer, having no root and no fruit, professing His name but having no marks of a regenerate soul?

The plant that sprung up in the thorny ground was able to grow for a time, but the cares of life and deceitfulness of riches ultimately caused it to stifle and not mature.
