Melissa Harris-Perry from MSNBC wants everybody to admit that kids belong to the state, or at least that they are more the responsibility of the state rather than the family. Most Americans would probably agree because very few families (and churches) are willing to move responsibility for the raising of children to the family out of the purview of the state.
