Living Worthy of the Gospel

Paul sets forth an example of a life consumed with the Gospel of Christ. He instructs the saints at Philippi that, regardless of what happens, it is of utmost importance that their manner of life is worthy of the Gospel. "Worthy" has nothing to do with merit or sinless perfection. It refers to a life that corresponds to the Gospel. As Christians we are to live as citizens of Christ's Kingdom and the Gospel is the message from heaven which is given to direct our thoughts and actions.
