Book ended by two statements: "And the child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom. And the favor of God was upon him.v. 40 "And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man. v.52

In the dialogue with his parents when they find him Jesus reveals his knowledge of his unique sonship. Jesus first words of revelation in the gospel narrative.
