1026.1 Overestimating and Underestimating God's Responses

This considers what God has shown us in the scriptures and how He has acted toward others, some of whom misjudged Him completely.
In keeping with God's plans, He has given each one of us a sense of freedom that allows us to think independently. It gave everyone from Adam and Eve on, the opportunity to decide what to believe and how to act. We even form opinions about what God is like and how He will act toward us, in spite of all that God has shown us about Himself in His word.
