Divisions in the Corinthian Church

Paul saw in the Corinthian church evidence that they had truly received the grace of God, but he also saw that it was going to be destroy from within if they did not resolve their several differences or schisms. The first division that Paul deals with is something he anticipated. It was to avoid such a division that Paul deferred to others to administer baptism except in rare instances.
