When You Lose the Cutting Edge

144 ( 114 | 30 )

This young man was flying away at his log when the axe flew off into the river. – They were by the river Jordan.

So, his work came to a stand still as he was standing with a shaft in hand with no head and that head was down in the depths of the water, beyond reach.

The cry went up Alas, master! For it was borrowed.

Then the miracle happened. Elisha cut a stick floated it on the water which in turn caused the iron axe head to float - “and the iron did swim.”

What a story, but what does it mean.

There is certainly a message for us under the title – When life loses its cutting edge.
