Our title for this sermon is straight out of the text: A Merciful and Faithful High priest. This is our Lord Jesus. He is the embodiment of these two qualities as our Lord and Saviour.
Do you know what a High Priest did for the people!
He was the chief of the priests who once per year entered the holy place to appear before God.
He acted as the representative of the people to God.
