Christ Must Suffer

It was necessary for Jesus to go to Jerusalem and suffer all that the prophets of the Old Testament foretold of Messiah. Yet precious few in Jesus' day understood this to be His mission. Even today, unless God the Holy Spirit opens your heart to see the wisdom, grace, and power of God in the death of His Son, the validity of Jesus' passion will be rejected. Why did Jesus have to die the death of a condemned criminal? Why is it that so few see glory in Jesus' suffering?
