Courage
Series Acts
30
Courage defined - the ability to do something that frightens one: strength in the face of pain or grief
Two truths of being a person of courage: A person of courage...
- Believes God - Courage comes from conviction!
- Follow through - I think part of the reason that we feel so detached from the kind of courage that Paul, and part of the reason that we cannot express in our own lives that devotion until death, is because we don't live the kind of object-oriented conviction that he lived. God really changed Him and he pursued God with all that he had!
Often it is very easy to be fearful living a life of faith, but what we see in this text is that Paul knew what would happen in the future and still went on and served the Lord anyway.
