Seek Good For One Another

Within the setting of several directives which concern relations in the church Paul writes, "See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all men" (I Thess. 5:15). Watchfulness against revenge and the counter intuitive of seeking the good are considered. "The good," that which is helpful, useful and beneficial is to be consciously, deliberately and persistently pursued and demonstrated. Union and communion with that one who "went about doing good," (Acts 10:38) produces the heart, motive, desire and determination to put away vindictiveness and seek the good.
