Leaving Your First Love

In this message, we look at the words of Jesus to the church of Ephesus. He warned them concerning their candlestick. He said they were in danger of losing their candlestick if they left their first love. In this message we speak about the dangers of a church leaving their first love, or the love they had a the first. Jesus commended them for many things. He commended the work they have done. Yet, He warns them concerning love. We look at the example of love from the perspective of a young man pursing a young lady. We also use the example of a husband and wife in this message. Ultimately, our investigation is to encourage the church to continue to love the Lord fervently. This fervent love will include a love for His lost sheep. If we do not love HIs sheep, how can we say we love Him?
