Responsibilities of Church Leaders and Members

These verses at the end of the letter to the Hebrews address some of the major responsibilities, first of all, of church leaders: they are to teach the Word, live exemplary lives with a clear conscience, and keep watch over the souls of their flock. Church members, likewise, are to imitate their leaders' Christian confession and way of life, obey them, pray for them, and take seriously their words of exhortation. All these directives are not easy but they are to be strived for.
