Looking Up In Lock Down

165

Paul writes this letter to the Philippian Church when he is a prisoner in Rome. As you read the book of Philippians, Paul didn't want the Philippians to be surprised by the suffering that came to them and to him as well.

Suffering is a normal part of the Christian life. Paul actually had a great ministry in his confinement! Paul had a great attitude in his confinement because Paul trusted that God was sovereign over every situation that he found himself in.

There are Countries all around the world that have gone into lock down because of the Corona Virus… and Australia may be locked down soon. Not only are countries in lock down but Churches are in lock down because of the Virus. The Corona Virus has not taken God by surprise because nothing takes God by surprise.

Our God is all knowing, all seeing and all powerful! He sees the future before it comes to pass. The Lord knew this virus would hit the world and I believe that God will use the virus for His purposes and ultimately for His glory!

The Bible shows us in Ephesians 1:11… that our God in Heaven … Works all things after the counsel of his own will:

Paul was calm in his confinement! And I think believers in Jesus Christ also need to have the same mindset as Apostle Paul.

Three things I am sure that Paul would have done when he was a prisoner: I think Paul would have used his confinement for prayer, for study and for witnessing!

God can use this world situation too to help us be prayerful and that we might grow in our faith and God can use this crisis for the furtherance of the Gospel.
