The Antichrist, Part 5

We will continue studying about the antichrist today. We want to make sure everybody has a good grasp on who this individual is and what he's going to do so they are well informed. Christians and the church will not meet the antichrist because we will be raptured first, then the antichrist will come on the scene. He is a great enemy of the church and a venomous enemy of Israel.

Thessalonians tells us how Christ will return so we won't be fooled by the antichrist's false claims.

1 Thessalonians 4:13 ¶ But we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them that fall asleep; that ye sorrow not, even as the rest, who have no hope. “Asleep” in the bible means “dead”. After Paul had been there and preached to them, some of them had died. The people are asking about their friends who have died. Paul tells them not to worry about the dead.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him. Paul tells the people, yes, these people have died, but Jesus will bring them with Him. The dead are not completely destroyed.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we that are alive, that are left unto the coming of the Lord, shall in no wise precede them that are fallen asleep. Paul tells us when the Lord comes back, the dead will be raised first.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; When ever an event occurs in the future, this is the next event that Christians should be looking for – the return of Christ in the air to call out His.....
