The Testimony of God

Remember Jesse Ventura? He’s the former wrestler-turned-Minnesota governor who insisted that religion is a crutch for weak-minded people. Jesse left our culture’s stage long ago, but his faith-as-crutch idea remains front and center. Christians increasingly face belittlement that faith in Jesus is merely subjective – all in our heads. Is it? 1 John gives us God’s own emphatic answer: No! The Creator Himself has provided overwhelming objective evidence that Jesus is God the Son, sinful mankind’s only Savior. “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.” 1 John 5:11 (NKJV)
