Faithfulness to God

In this passage, lack of faithfulness toward God led to the destruction of marriage. Malachi addresses two problems in this regard. He rebuked the men in his audience for their marriages to idolatrous wives (verses10-12) and objected to their illegitimate divorces of Israelite wives (verses 13-16).
