Is Your Soul Your Flesh's Lackey?

Aim: To see our souls properly and faithfully restored, in Christ.

Doctrine: Sinners willingly sell their noblest part, for base lust. An unholy trinity conspires together: atheism, deceit, and self-deification; the Holy Trinity reveals and repeals this slavery, in the elect.

Exegesis: The Lord's arguments against sinful stupidity: it is primarily self-imposed (vv. 14-17); it seeks any and all God-alternatives (vv. 18-19); it resists all grace-provisions (vv. 20-22).

Further application: How to re-establish our souls' nobility: by changing our thinking and our beliefs.
