Rejected from Inquiring of the Lord

The elders of Israel now come before Ezekiel, wishing to inquire of the Lord. Isn't that a good thing? Doesn't God want us to do that? God rejects their request immediately and completely. Why? Israel's leaders wanted it BOTH WAYS -- they wanted to follow after other nations, enjoying their idols and sin, but also wanted blessings and protection from God. God speaks of 3 generations of Israelites, and their violations of His commandments. Is God a jealous God, who wants, and deserves, ALL of us? Indeed, yes! Does your life need to be pruned? Will you choose to do the purging?
