Adam and Eve Were Not Ashamed

Saying, Adam and Eve were "not ashamed" means they were created in perfect innocence. Nothing about them, on them, or in them could create shame. However, they were not righteous. That required the advent of Christ to fulfill God's law and will. Righteousness resulted from Christ's work in behalf of God's elect. They and all of God's elect were declared righteous at and by the cross.
