Why Did God Wipe Out Nations?

This series will deal with ten hard questions for scripture. There are many "hard passages" of scripture that we come across when we read the Bible. Hard in the sense that they offend our sensibilities, or they are just hard to understand. These are often passages that people stumble over and some are embarrassed about. These are the sorts of passages that atheists love to bring up in order to embarrass professing Christians and make them sweat. We should not fear these passages. There are answers in the Bible. We just need to dig further. And if we come to a point where we don't know an answer and don't know why God did something, we can rest assured that God knows. Then, we either trust Him or we don't. In this lesson, we will look at God's command that Saul wipe out all the Amalekites -- men, women, children and even animals. Why did God command this thing? Is God evil?
