Are verse 14-18 disconnected as many believe? John says, 'We beheld his glory'. What did he mean? Was he speaking of the mount of tranfiguration? No, he takes the reader back to the Ot, and compares him with Moses. What does glory look like? Moses' saw it, John said they beheld it, what does it communicate?
