Death, Burial and Theology

88

The books of Joshua records the triumphs of God's people over their enemies and their settlement in the Promised Land. Interestingly, the book ends on a rather sombre note with the death notices of two men, their burials and the burial of the bones of someone who had been dead for over 200 years. The writer's purpose in ending the book in this way is to convey vital spiritual lessons to us.
