Documenting Christ's Sufferings

The inclusion of Simon the Cyrenian in the Gospel accounts of the crucifixion indicates that he became very well known to other believers as the man who had been compelled to carry Christ's cross on the way to Calvary. Simon had a much closer view of the sufferings of Christ than almost anyone else there. He could always underscore the reality of all that he had observed on that day.
