We continue in our study of "We've Been Expecting You" III, the second coming of Jesus Christ, by following material in the book by Greg Harris, entitled "The Stone and the Glory." Today's sermon led into the Lord's Table and equally important, sets the stage for the rest of what we do as we approach Easter.
The Stone Prophecies about the person and work of Jesus Christ become more clearly defined next week as we move to the New Testament. However, before doing so, we need to see three "stone prophecies" today (Isaiah 8 and 28, which Peter quotes in 1 Peter 2), and Zechariah 3.
I told our congregation that I think you will be quite proud of your Lord and Savior by the time we come to Easter.
