The Parable of the Sower

This parable could be called the Parable of Parables, for in it and by it the Lord Jesus Christ teaches us how to understand the spiritual lesson from all His parables. The everyday image that is put before us is that of a sower sowing seed in a field, and getting differing results, at harvest, depending on what type of ground the seed fell onto. And, so it is with the preaching of the Word of God:
