The Lame Take the Prey

Pastor Dale Thornton explains how God won a great victory for the nation of Judah during the reign of King Hezekiah. Hezekiah initially ignored God's warnings from the prophet Isaiah, thereby bringing the wrath of Assyria upon the kingdom of Judah. But when Hezekiah repented and sought God's assistance, God mightily defeated the Assyrians – causing 185,000 of them to die in a single night and causing King Sennacherib to be killed by two of his own sons. Pastor Thornton shows how this is applicable to us today. Just as the nation of Judah had such a great victory that even the lame were able to participate in the collection of spoils, God can give us victory even in the midst of overwhelming circumstances and our own weakness.
