Prioritizing Fears — Fear is a Mover! What Should Be at The Top?

Let's zoom in on the idea of fear. It's buzzing everywhere we turn... it's an obvious and overstated problem, no doubt, but let's consider and call fear a mover. Fear moves people. And there's much that one could be afraid of today... but can I be bold enough to say that there's really only one thing someone honestly should fear. No, let me say it like this... if we want to be wise we should prioritize our fear.

There are many things to fear. This list can be long as the day, but not many things should be a the top of our fear list. What should be at the top, then? What is it? I should fear, and be dreadfully afraid, when I'm not at all moved in the right way and direction by the word of God. Why is that? Fears, no matter their source or size, move people to act. People give place, priority and purpose to the things they respect and revere. And many are moved by the circumstances and conditions of our society and it's knee jerk reaction to everything but are in no way moved to prepare, warn are gather their family and friends under the covering of Jesus and His gospel. You, like me, and anyone else who will read this and those who won't, stand tonight in one these descriptions. We're in one of these verses... either verse twenty or twenty one. They are like a character drawing... reveling the obvious curvature of our heart and not our countenance. One of these describe you more than you can possibly imagine. Which one is it? Read it again... some were moved because they gave place to the message of God. The others were unmoved and unaffected by the word of God...
