Faith and Spiritual Depression

Thesis: What is the remedy for Christians who have faith and spiritual depression?

• Any concern, agitation or alarm in our lives
  carries an implicit lack of trust in Christ.

• faith relies on and trusts God in negative
  circumstances through prayer of relief but also
  in resting in His will

• Hebrews 11 reminds us that we can endure anything
  this world offers because of the the promise to
  come, eternity, heavenly rewards, etc - faith.

• Faith through sufferings brings rewards:

  • Philippians 1:29, John 16:33, Acts 14:22

• Trials test and prove our faith (James)

• Faith is not a feeling, it controls feelings

• Faith is a response to God and who He is.
  Action based on truth and truth is gained through
  reading Bile (about Him) - Romans 10:17
