Sanctified Forever
Series hebrews
• 'to do Your will' was Christ coming to do all and only what the Father wanted Him to do. He was not here for His own purposes at all.
• The Old Covenant concept of atonement does not carry over to the New. The old concept was to cover, while the new concept is reconciliation-God and sinners reconciled.
• Once for All is a time reference, not all-inclusive. Redemption and reconciliation is something that happens once, not again and again like Old Covenant sacrifices.
• Baptism means immersion, which pictures been plunged into the death of Christ, and raised to live in newness of life, just like Christ.
• One who has died to the world has died to the position of Sin.
• This is in relation to the position of being a child of God.
• Mortification of sin comes from living in the Word and in prayer.
• Don't neglect your sanctification, because you are sanctified in God's eyes/
• Only God has a claim on you-sin and the Devil have lost their claim.
• You ARE holy, so live like it.
• We live from our sanctification, not attaining to a code of conduct in order to achieve it.
