A metrical setting of this Psalm, along with Psalm 23, seems to be in about every hymnbook. Why not the other 148?
This Psalm celebrates the Good Shepherd (John 10). He was known in the Old Testament as the Savior for "all the lands", and He is still so today. Though He is high above us, yet He has come into our midst as Immanu-el. No wonder "all peoples" are urged to praise Him! Let's do that ourselves!
