Satan is the author of confusion and chaos. God is the author of peace, shalom.

Shalom means more than peace in the sense of the absence of war; fundamentally, it means "prosperity, success, intactness, welfare, state of health, deliverance, salvation" [Ludwig Koehler and Walter Baumgartner, The Hebrew and Aramaic Lexicon of the Old Testament (E. This sermon explores how God's shalom will always triumph over the growing chaos that the old serpent, Satan, is spewing at us.
