The Mission of the Church: Submitting to God's Authority

Continuing a short series on James, Pastor Stoos wrestles with whether we are willing to acknowledge God's Authority: Do we acknowledge the Lord's Sovereignty by being willing to go where He leads His Church?
Using the 'great faith' that Jesus found in the Roman Centurion he shows how God's authority is at the center of this section of James' Epistle. We are to bow to the 'one Law-giver' we are to avoid the temptations of wealth and power and we must learn to say 'Lord willing, we will do this or that.'
Finally, Pastor Stoos uses the examples of Daniel's friends and Joseph to remind us that we must trust God to work out His plan as He sees fit.
