Pursue the Scriptures

After reminding Timothy, human culture will deteriorate as long as time lasts, Paul urged him to pursue the Scriptures. That's true in every generation and one to be pressed upon all who will listen. The centerpiece of his exhortation concerns "instruction is righteousness". He meant Christ's perfect fulfillment of the Law, which God accepted and imputed to the account of His elect at the Cross.
